Friends, in the wake of recent political assassinations, school shootings, and violent crime, we face a difficult time in our country’s life—a consequence, I believe, of a loss of faith in God.

During Minnesota’s annual Red Mass, I shared with lawyers and politicians the importance of their work in preserving public discourse—the key to upholding human dignity, the objectivity of truth, and the healing of our nation.
