St. Anastasius the Fuller of Salona, commemorated on December 5 and October 25, was a courageous Christian martyr of the 3rd century in Dalmatia. Known for boldly preaching the Gospel during the harsh Diocletian persecution (284–311), St. Anastasius fearlessly confessed Christ as the true God and even painted a cross on his door as a public declaration of faith.

Arrested for his missionary work, he was sentenced to death by drowning—his persecutors tied a stone around his neck and threw him into the sea. His holy body was later recovered by the righteous Christian matron Ascalopia, who buried him reverently at her church estate. His relics became a source of miraculous healings and veneration throughout the region.
